Blog Entry 17 – Final Project: Brochure Spreads
For this project I chose the Alien Bowl because it is something my family has done for years but we want to play for a cause now. The cover includes the title which is Alien Bowl X because it is the tenth year of us playing this game. The inside I used the fold lines as yard lines and used green like grass. I used basic fonts because I wanted it to look clean and not disorganized. All of my font is aligned left so it lays against the yard lines.

Blog Entry 16 – Magazine Spreads
This is a good spread because it draws attention to the picture but also uses a large font to bring your eyes to the text.
This is successful because it has the words aligned and also incorporates pictures to draw attention to the viewer. It also uses headings so the reader could skim through the magazine and find something that would interest him or her.
This is successful because all of the words are on the left so the picture does not take away too much from the article.
This is successful because the pictures are in the corners and that allows the words to be aligned in a neat matter. The beginning of the story also has a larger letter so you know where it starts.
This is a nice spread because of the picture on both pages. It also works because the white font stands out on the page and draws the reader's eyes to read the little article.

Blog Entry 13 – Project 2 Research Sketches
This is the logo for the company GF Sports. It's pretty simple and just uses the two letters to make a logo similar to the logo of Under Armour.
The wordmark is just a simple GF Sports to get right to the point without any distractions.
The combination includes the logo as well as some objects to represent a sporting goods store. My brother and I have always dreamed about making a store like this so I thought it would be fun to design something for it.

Blog Entry 12 – The Non-Designer's Design Book: Type Categories
This is modern because it has drastic thick to thin.
This is script because all of the letters flow together.
This is san serif because there are no serifs and everything is vertical.
This is decorative because it uses a decoration and flows together.
This is oldstyle because there is a diagonal line between the thin and thick and also some serifs
This is a slab serif because the serifs are exaggerated and are very big.
