Blog Entry 8 – The Non-Designer's Design Book: Proximity

This image uses proximity to show the title of the book.  The title is bigger because people would be looking at that rather than the name of the authors.
This image placed a burger that has been eaten in the sky to represent the moon. This shows that burger king is open at night.  The sandwich is bigger and draws your eyes to it making you want a burger.
On this card the name of the person is large.  The name is large because it is important and let's the person that received it know right away who it is from.
Heinz ketchup placed tomatoes on top of each other to make it look like a ketchup bottle.  It draws attention to it and makes the viewer believe that the ketchup is made of good tomatoes.

The brand is clearly printed on the box so that the buyer knows exactly what type of tissue they will be purchasing.  In stores it is important that the proximity of the brand is close so the customer can see it.
